Since 1863, the town of Bridgeport, CA has celebrated our nation’s independence in a spectacular fashion. The celebration is a multi-day affair with plenty of shopping opportunities and activities appropriate for all ages. 


On top of a parade and awe-inspiring fireworks displays, the Bridgeport 4th of July celebration includes activities such as:

Bridgeport, CA Fishing Tournaments

Fishing is a big part of our community here. Every year, you can expect to find a number of fishing competitions where anglers from all over come to show their skills and have a great time. One of the biggest fishing tournaments held here is the Bridgeport Trout Tournament.

Made possible by the Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Foundation, the Bridgeport Trout Tournament is an annual event that welcomes anglers of all ages. This family fun event offers not only cash prizes for the winners, but also other kinds of prizes and raffles, as well as free giveaways. You can enjoy old-fashioned dinners while having a great weekend fishing.

Ridge Rambler: Bridgeport Half Marathon

For those who love pushing their physical limitations, the Ridge Rambler Half Marathon is a perfect opportunity.


The Ridge Rambler is a point to point course that takes participants across the countryside. You’ll be able to see wonders of nature up close as you travel around the back side of the Lower Twin, travel around a serene lake, climb a ridge, and persevere through rolling hills.


A shuttle is provided to take participants back to the starting point. All proceeds of the Ridge Rambler go to the Bridgeport Elementary School.

Bridgeport Motorcycle Jamboree

Once an annual tradition around the turn of the millennium, The Bridgeport Motorcycle Jamboree is being revived once again. 

The three day event features a poker run throughout all of Mono County, and will end with a group motorcycle ride on the final day. During the events, you can expect to find plenty of motorcycles of all kinds, as well as food and shopping vendors.

Fundraisers

There are a number of nonprofit organizations that hold events throughout the year. Many of these organizations are educational in nature, and hold events that aim to teach people about the history of the Bridgeport area.
